Do those ionic ones really work? I heard the ions they release can damage your lungs. I need one that can clean the air of dust and odors, rinsable with no filters to replace. Know of any?

From consumer reports, I understand that the one sold by Sharper Image is supposed to be the best, but beyond that, I don’t really know. Just shop around and ask questions at Home Depot or Lowes. They carry them and are usually very helpful. I was looking for one myself at Home Depot and noticed they had a lot of different ones.
They work very well and don’t damage lungs. I got an ionic breeze brand new on Ebay for 1/2 the price of retail. My asthmatic daughter greatly appreciates it and it is easy to clean. Good luck.
the oreck excel is the very best you can get. it’s ionic and has the washable filter. expensive but worth every single cent. and ions damaging ur lungs is the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever heard! lol! that’s like the stupid rumor that silk soy milk has pet. jelly in it!
