What's the best type of air purifier that doesn't use a filter?

Are there any air purifiers other than the Ionic Breeze that doesn’t need replacement filters? I read that Consumer Reports declared the Ionic Breeze ineffective in cleaning the air, and I want something that doesn’t need filters replaced.
