Does anyone know what the air purifiers are called that use water instead of filters?
The unit has the motor on top and it sits on top of the water bowl and it swirls the water around in the bowl. You can also add fragrances to it. They showed on of them on an info-mercial.

I have one that I found on ebay that is made by Rainbow. It is called a RainMate. I really like mine. Our Pedatrician uses them in his office to clean that air. Not sure the cost if you buy from a Rainbow dealer but on ebay they run about $40. Hope that this helps!
A ripoff? HeHe.
Sorry couldn’t resist. I have not seen the infommercial.

But really, if you’re in the market for an air purifier, do some research before purchasing (most of these purifiers cost hundreds of dollars.) My husband purchased Consumer Reports online a couple months ago. I recommend that to anyone in the market of a big purchase.
Also, be wary of any of those infomercial items. Many of them are just gimmicks and gizmos that don’t live up to the claims.
I have a magic bullet and a turbo cooker in the garage that’s collecting dust. As tempting as some of the stuff is, I have to remind myself of that!
I also bought the Revo styler. Painful. That’s all I can say about that thing.
