What’s a good compact air purifier that can keep my home office dust-free?
I’m looking for a good COMPACT air purifier that can keep my home office dust-free or at least help significantly with the dust.
I’ve seen a few but they’re too big! I need something compact that will work.
I don’t care about fancy feature, I just care about reducing dust.
Thanks for any help.

IQAir HealthPro Compact is a top of the line air purifier that is recognized as the industry standard.
It’s HEPA filter can remove particles down to 0.003 microns with close to 99.5 percent efficiency. That is 100 times more powerful than other air purifiers that are rated only for particles down to 0.3 microns.
IQAir HealthPro Compact may not be as small as you want it, but to do some serious air cleaning, the motor as well as the surface area of the filter media got to be sufficiently large.
Instead of getting air purifiers that claimed to clean air but only to release captured pollutants back to the air, why not get the IQAir air cleaner which is proven to trap captured particles tightly within the filter media without releasing them back to the air you breathe?
Alternatively, you can also consider Alden Paralda HEPA Air Purifier. This air purifier is slim with a stylish design and has the added function of killing airborne germs like flu virus. But, its HEPA filter can remove particles 0.3 microns or larger in size only.
If dust is the only concern, then perhaps 0.3 microns is sufficient for you.
Hope this helps. And have fun shopping!
Try looking into the Austin Air Purifier. I don’t know how compact you want but it is great because it has a flat top – you can put books etc on top of it without a problem. It is great, reduces dust effectively and has a 5 year warranty – plus shipping is free. There are others that are smaller but the increased price point isn’t worth it. There are two sizes that Austin makes, but the small Healthmate Jr would do the trick for you, I personally own this one as well.

Go ahead, take a look at all the other brands, then take a look at the Sun Pure SP-20C at http://www.allergy-relief-air-purifier.com/air_purifiers_for_asthma.html. Compare the ease of use, the square footage and the cost of maintenance. The unit is compact and easy to transport. You can set it on “automatic” and forget it. The UV bulb gets changed once a year (this kills bacteria and viruses) and the filters get changed every two (2) years (this is what removes the dust from the air). The replacement cost for filters and bulbs every two years is only $145.00. There are videos on this site to show you how easy it is to use and maintain. Good luck!!
Today many types of indoor air purifiers are available but the safest of them is HEPA air purifier. Formerly HEPA filters were used by soldiers for protection from radioactive particles on the battlefield. But they were not effective in fighting with radioactive particles. Later on studies proved that HEPA filters are best for the protection from chlorine gas, mustard gas, and flame throwers.
I’d go with the Bionaire air purifier and dust reducer found here http://www.trustedair.com/air-purifiers/permatechr-tower-air-cleaner-with-remote-control.html it is stylish and functional and small enough to put in a corner.
The tower design allows placement in almost any area of the room, while remote control adds convenience. The permanent HEPA-type filter is effective in removing up to 99% of airborne particles as small as two microns from the air passing through it.
