Do those Ionic Air Purifiers really work?
I have a dog and a cat. NO allergies, just want to cleanse the air in my house.
I’m really interested in hearing about the air purifiers with the IONIC technology that emits negative (positive? i don’t know) ions into the air.
Anyway, which air purifiers, if any, work well and cost little to operate (i.e. replacement filters, etc.)

We have the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze and it works, in our bed room and i have a better nights sleep. We also have a smaller one in the bathroom and you can actually notice the clean air smell. they aren’t the cheapest to purchase HOWEVER there is no replacement filter, just clean the one that is inside with a damp cloth, it is easy to do
I have 3 "HUNTER" air cleaners and they do help clean the air and you breath better,I got them off HSN.com and paid 230.00 for 3 of them!
I have one and it works OK. It doesn’t do a large area. And sometimes it has an odd smell. When you wash it, the smell goes away.It is easy to clean though. I guess I like mine.
The Bio Fresh purifier I have has 3 filters. One charcoal, to filter smoke particles, one silver, to get dust and pollen and a true HEPA filter for everything else. Works great. I looked up air purifirers on consumer reports and came up with this one. Remember, a air purifier has to move air to purify it, so those towerts that don’t move air aren’t as godd as the ones that do.
We have 6 of the Sharper Image air purifiers. Yes, we like them. I prefer the ones w/ the uv lights, but w/ pets you may want to not get that b/c it may harm their eyes.
