Can any air purifier eliminate ozone in addition to regular stuff like dust? My office has no ventilation.?
I think the ozone coming from copiers and lazer printers in my office, combined with the lack of ventilation in there, are causing me to feel short of breath at work all the time, and to have a tickle in my throat / chest which makes me hack and cough. It’s driving me nuts. Many "air purifiers" actually produce ozone…ozone that aggravates respiratory symptoms in people like me. Can any air purifier make my air in my office clean and fresh as if it was ventilated, including filtering out ozone? (I don’t mean an ozone-free purifier..I mean a purifier that can not only be ozone free itself..but also eliminate the ozone already in my air).
The Sharper Image has an air purifier, that has UV light to kill germs, and a cover over the front that changes ozone to oxygen. It costs pennies to use, there are no parts to replace or filters to buy. My daughter has asthma, and their air purifier has worked wonders on her allergies.
i’m not sure about ozone bothering your breathing, but in a small office with no ventilation the humidity levels could be geater than normal causing an increase in post nasel drainage. the symptoms you put down sound just like what you’d experience with post nasel drainage. i don’t know what to tell you about how to dry the air out. that usually happens with the A/C or the heater, but with no ventilation you’ve got no circulation of air. what about opening your door when the central heat kicks on( or central air). if you don’t use a central unit then i just don’t know what to tell ya but good luck
