I'm gonna use an Ozone Air Purifyer to rid mold, but for how many days should I?
I can’t enter the room in which I will be having an Ozone Purifier on, so it’s harmful to be around. How long does it take for the mold to die off with the Ozone in the air?
Make sure the various components in the room are dry.
The air needs to be humid (to make the ozone more effective), but the walls, floor, and carpets must not be wet. Humidity will cause the spores to open their protective coatings… and ozone will then kill the spores too.
If you are using a standard "room ionizer" with a HEPA filter, then you will need to leave it running for a couple of years, without entering the room.
If you are using a remediation unit from a rental place, they usually provide recommendations based on the size of the room, and output of ozone generator. I would expect you’d dose for an hour or less, with a cheap (because ozone will kill it at some point) fan in the space to stir the air, and don’t enter the space for at least 6 hours.
