What mode should I use on my air purifier?
There is an anion mode and an ozone mode.
In easy terms (no scientific nonsense I won’t understand) what is the difference between anion mode and ozone mode? Which one should we be using most often?

If you want to get rid of bad smell like smoking, set it to ozone mode. Ozone shall be generated from it with a special smell to oxide the bad smell. Do you run it too long because ozone is bad for lung.
Anion mode generate negative ion which is good for health as it was advertised. This mode can be run for days to make you feel like outdoor fresh air.
Anion is better.
Anions are negative ions, they stick to particles in the air and make them heavier, so the air gets cleaner as the particles stop floating in the air.
Ozone is an oxidizing gas (it also is one of the components of smog). It can kill bacteria and viruses, but to do that it has to be at concentrations that are high enough to be toxic to people. However, most home ozone machines can’t produce enough ozone to hurt you or germs.
It really doesn’t matter, since some ozone is formed in either mode.
I guess in anion mode, the contaminants in the air stick to your device, and in the ozone mode they stick to you, your furnishings, and your windows.
Mm…It maybe help. http://connotea.info/6219/air–purifier
