my mother in law smokes, how can i keep the cigarette smoke out of my room? Does an air purifier work?
we both live in an apartment. my bf and our 15 mo old baby live in a room and his mom in another. she smokes alot in her room out the window with a fan, but it still lingers. can i buy an air purifier or sumtin? we’ve asked her to consider quiting but it seems like an impossible task.
Sucks. Maybe you can put a towel in the bottom of the door opening. Has worked for me, that and constantly ventilate your home. good luck.
It does but not as good as an open window
You can buy an air purifier such as a PANDA machine. My parents have two around their house to help with the mildew smell in the basement and I’ve used it to get the new carpet smell out of my apartment before. It really helps. Or you could get one of those ionic air purifiers, supposedly they really work.
Your child’s health is at risk. Tell her to smoke outside or quit. Insist on it even to the point of being a b#tch.
Since you can’t ask someone to quit in their own place, you can always move, if you don’t like it. I grew up around smoke all of my life, and I grew up a normal healthy kid. I’m sure yours will too.
