How to remove odor from cooking?
We are moving to apartment from house and my wife used to cook outside because she doesn’t like to cause odor around the house from cooking as we don’t have a good suction on our range-top exhaust fan.
Does anyone know if Ionic Air Purifier will help prevent odor from cooking? especially in apartment without many windows.
Suggestion on type or brand will be appreciated.
Thanks!
The problem is when you cook various type of foods, the smell will build up in the area as well as carpet and sometime get into the bedroom as well causing all the clothing smell.
thanks for the idea of baking soda but i’m lazzy to keep pouring baking soda and fac it.
So I prefer use something electronic and leave it there all the time.

The Ionic types get very low ratings by consumer reports. I would get a good "HEPA" filter, or at least one with activated carbon in the filter.A company called Hunter makes an affordable one at Orchard Supply (in the US).
Cooking usually smells good. If the cooking smells, then it’s bad cooking
Open a window.
dont cook smelly foods? or bake things so the smell doesnt escape while cooking
Baking soda for the carpet… put it on at night before bed then vaccum in the morning and OUST air freshener.
If she cooked on a lower temp it wouldnt be that smelly. I never use a ventaltion system and my house never smells.
yes Ionic’s are great just keep it cleaned and
when you do cook oily foods or strong odor foods open some windows. the smell will not linger as much. In a spray bottle clean up with hydrogen peroxide (counter tops). That will also cut down on the order.
