You chose my answer as best one time. Listen one more time, please. You have asthma, the Orecks produce ozone. Ozone is known to be a lung irritant. I could fill this page with information about the perils of using ozone as an air cleaner. I could also fill this page with stories of disappointment with the effectiveness of the Oreck models. You must have a HEPA filter to clean the air. Ozone is good for odors and living bacteria, but even at that it does nothing to remove particles. You mentioned that you would consider the Sun Pure SP-20C at http://www.allergy-relief-air-purifier.com/portable-air-purifiers.html if you could make payments. You may not have noticed that you can purchase with a credit card without setting up a PayPal account. I would hate for you to continue posting on this forum when the real solution is quite available.
