Humidifier or Ionic Breeze?
I live near fog city San Francisco, so you’d think humidity wouldn’t be an issue. It just seems like everyday my nose is dry, and I suffer from the occasion upper respiratory infection. I have pretty bad allergies, too. I dust and clean a lot, so it’s gotta be the air. If you were to spend 0, would it be on a humidifier or an air purifier like Ionic Breeze?

I don’t think humidifier will help you with your allergy, in fact, it can even worsen your condition, as moist creates great conditions for mold spores, allergens and viruses. What you need, is an air purifier that will remove dust, allergens from the air, and kill the bacteria spreading your respiratory infection.
The best solution for you would be HEPA filter or air ionizer.
I can advice Honeywell 50150 – a very effective device that removes 99,97% of airborne contaminants and bacteria, is energy efficient and contains an irreplaceable filter (which saves your money, too). It costs only $126 on Amazon.
Anyway, you can check this chart http://air-cleaner-systems.com/compare-air-cleaners to check which purifying technology works best for you (pay attention to mold, allergens and bacteria)
Hope it helped.
The two elements of indoor air quality are the humidity and cleanliness of the air. I would suggest a table-top humidifier to help keep the humidity around 40-50% in your home, then start saving for the Sun Pure SP-20C (same as the Continental Fan CX1000) at http://www.allergy-relief-air-purifier.com/portable-air-purifiers.html It is the best air purifier on the market and is widely used in hospitals and labs for its effectiveness and efficiency. Here is a video of one being used in an invitro fertilization lab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDDX_XWAcRY The Sun Pure SP-20C comes with a lifetime warranty, so it will be the last air purifier you will need to purchase. I hope this helps.
